National Tulip Day January 20th

Today is the National Tulip Day! Tulips are traditionally the early harbingers of spring (although nowadays they come to the shops already before Christmas). The name 'tulip' is believed to come from a Persian word for 'turban', probably since it resembles a turban. They are one of my favourite flowers, and come in all colours of the rainbow and more, not to mention double ones and parrot tulips. They are relatively inexpensive, so please enjoy!
