Inspired by her own experiences of the delight, celebration, comfort and serenity, brought to her by flowers at important life events, Eeva decided to leave behind her career as a professional translator to pursue her love of floristry. Her aspiration was simple, to create beautiful, abundant and characterful floral pieces to enrich people’s momentous occasions.
Having trained with iconic floral designers Jane Packer and Jamie Aston, Eeva set up the Bloom & Flower studio at her home in Hadleigh, Suffolk. Wowed by the beautiful materials and creations, and the sheer enjoyment of contributing to these special events, her daughters Emma and Alice soon began to learn the trade and undertake training of their own, bringing with them their own backgrounds in design and art.
We’re a small family florists led by Eeva Coleman, who has over a decade's experience in creating beautiful botanical designs, using seasonal and fresh flowers in new and creative ways. Working from our home studios in Hadleigh, Suffolk and St Ives, Cambridge, we, Eeva, and daughters Emma and Alice, specialise in creative designs for weddings and events, as well as carefully crafted sympathy arrangements.
At the heart of our approach to design is a deep seated love for nature, the shape and textures of flowers and foliage, and the desire to work creatively. We love using flowers in new and interesting ways, and seek to celebrate nature’s own form and cycles through our creations, using seasonal produce. We are committed to keeping abreast of innovative technologies and methods that allow Bloom & Flower to operate in the most environmentally sustainable manner possible.
We pride ourselves in our friendly and approachable manner, and nothing pleases us more than the delight of a customer whose expectations have been exceeded. Whether you already have some ideas for the flowers you would like, or are in need of some inspiration, we would love to talk to you, and help ensure you have the perfect flowers for your occasion.
